Dakota has been adopted! 10-07-2017
Have you ever seen a more beautiful German Shepherd? Wait until you feel her gorgeous black and tan coat that literally glistens! She loves nothing more than a good belly scratch and absolutely soaks up training and has become a star student at her weekly obedience class. She gets along with other dogs in her class and at adoption events.
A day in the life for Dakota includes a nice walk and occasionally she gets to go on a longer hike in beautiful Orange County. She is awesome on a leash and we would rank her as highly intelligent so keeping her mind active and body exercised will be critical in her forever home. She's a strong three year old with a lot of love to give and life to live!
She's housebroken, crate trained and loves a good car ride! She even enjoys her baths which can't be said for all dogs so she'll always smell good.
We think someone that has previous German Shepherd or large dog experience will be a great fit for her and probably best to be in a home with older kids instead of little ones. You should keep up her training to make her the best dog she can be.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
