Apollo is available ( Updated 07-30-2021 )
Apollo is the proud father of our H litter that was born in 2017. (The mother was Gretchen, who was also available and has been adopted.) Their owner was a back yard breeder who was not able to care for Apollo, Gretchen, nor the H litter, so Coastal GSR took them all in, because we leave no dog behind.
Apollo was born on 6/25/13 and is ready to experience a real life. He doesn't ask for much. Just a nice place to lay inside and outdoors. He was primarily a back yard dog with his previous owner and wasn't socialized. He likes female dogs - no male dogs please. There are a couple of volunteers that he does like and he prefers men to women.
If you have GSD experience and are the kind of person who knows that some dogs need more time to come out of their shell, especially ones who were just kept in a backyard and asked to breed over and over, then you're the kind of person this handsome boy has been waiting to meet. Apollo is good with female dogs and male humans, but is timid around people he doesn't know, as he was never socialized in his previous home.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
