Heidi has been adopted! 07-13-2017
Heidi was pulled from a high-kill shelter on her very last day. She was an owner surrender, because she killed some of the family's chickens. A child left the door open and guess what happened...
So, yes, we know Heidi isn't going to be good with chickens. She's an absolute doll with children and adults and is going to make an amazing addition to a chickenless family! ;)
She's spent most of her life outside, but can't wait to be accepted as part of the family and live her life inside, with everyone else. She's a typical GSD: smart, active, eager to please, and a total love. We have no doubt she'll take to inside living just as quickly as she's taken to everyone of the volunteers she's met so far.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
