Anna Mae has been adopted! 02-11-2017
We were contacted by a local animal shelter because they thought that Miss Anna Mae was a dog worth saving. She is a very nice dog and super sweet, but she can get excited when she first meets people. She loves you and isn't afraid to show it!
Anna Mae is a senior, but she doesn't act her age. This cutie, around 65 pounds, is full of energy and chutzpah. She loves going for walks or hikes and can go for miles, but is not a runner. She sits, lays down, rolls over, lifts her paw up to you: she's smart! She is clearly affectionate and loves it when people spend time with her. We think she would be best as an only dog, but she is being socialized with other dogs in group training and is doing great. We don't think she has been around children very much, but would probably be fine with them, as she adores people and doesn't mind being touched all over.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
