Athena has been adopted! 03-09-2017
Athena was one of Coastal's 2016 A team puppies - one of our cutest puppy litters! She and her 7 siblings were turned into a vet hospital at two weeks old. They were cared for by a foster family and then adopted out.
We ran a DNA test on them for fun and the results came back as one parent was most likely a Boxer and the other was a Beagle mix.
Athena's adoptive family is unable to keep her due to medical issues in the family. They are heartbroken to have to give her up but want Athena to have a happy life where she can play, run, go on walks, and interact with other dogs. Athena is medium sized and has plenty of puppy energy. She will fit right in with an active family. She is good with small dogs and children of all ages.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
