Clayton has been adopted! 02-20-2016
Clayton was found tied to a park bench. Thankfully a good samaritan found him and searched for the owner. When no owner was found, Animal Control was called. Animal Control found that he had a microchip from two years prior when he was adopted from the same shelter. Unfortunately, the chip did not bring forward an owner as the number was disconnected.
Clayton sat at the shelter waiting for his owner to come looking, but no one came. He was quickly put on the euthanasia list. Coastal German Shepherd Rescue did not want to see this nice boy's life put to an end. Clayton is now with CGSR and looking for his forever home!
We believe he is about 4 years old. He has a lovely red coat, enjoys being with people and walks well on a leash. He met several dogs during his stay at the shelter and seems to be an easy going guy.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
