Blaze has been adopted! 01-21-2016

Male Rottweiler /Labrador Retriever mix about 1-2 years old. Good with kids. OK with cats. Gets along with other dogs.

Sweet Blaze wandered into a warehouse yard with a small canine buddy. The workers fed him and tried to find him a home, but to no avail. Finally, Animal Control picked up the two friends. The smaller guy was adopted immediately but Blaze had to wait.

Blaze is in a foster home now with other dogs, gets along with all sizes AND will probably be fine with cats. His foster showed us photos of him around the cats that hang out at the warehouse and he just doesn't care!

He's housebroken, great with kids and walks nicely on a leash (even on a flat collar). He went to his first event so we could get new nice photos of him and he was as calm and cool as a cucumber, allowing total strangers to come up and give him affection.

This will be a great first dog for a family looking to enter the "big boy" world.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
