Sophie has been adopted! 10-28-2015
Little Sophie is a special needs GSD puppy. This darling little girl was born blind. Although she does appear to have some level of vision. She is a brave little soul and gets around just fine.
She has been working on her manners and is housebroken. She follows voice commands and does sleep in a crate or when unattended. We think she would do best in a home with another dog that would like to play as she LOVES other dogs. She is quite a character and moved to a new foster home where she figured out the obstacles (steps, fencing, potholes in the yard) in about 5 seconds flat.
Sophie's adoption fee is $500.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
