Posse has been adopted! 02-13-2016

Male German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs.

Meet Posse! This sweet dog came out of a high-kill shelter in horrific shape with an advanced case of demodex mange. Immediately hospitalized for emergency treatment, he has made a tremendous comeback and now has a full coat of hair which is a gorgeous (and rare) silver and black.

Posse loves women and children, but can be scared of men. He's a "leaner" and loves to shove his head into your lap and get scratches. He is super smart; not only does he know sit, his left from his right (for shaking paws), but he will also "sit pretty" on his haunches up in the air.

Posse is housebroken (he refused to go in his run) and walks nicely on a leash. This adorable young boy loves car rides and will try to ride shotgun with his head hanging over the driver's shoulder. He is absolutely fine with other dogs and while not yet cat tested, we are pretty sure he wouldn't care about a cat either.

Every single person who has worked with Posse has been in tears when he moves to another place, because he's such an amazing, lovable, sweet boy. Now it’s time for Posse to move to his final place- his forever home!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
