Summer is available ( Updated 01-17-2020 )
Summer, a beautiful dog inside and out, was adopted through us in 2015 and just came back to us via OC Animal Care. Yes, those are old hematomas (now permanent scar tissue) on her still infected ears. Yes, Summer is now safe, back in our care, has already been to the vet for treatment and she's feeling much better now. We can screen potential adopters and do home checks, but we just can't see their little black hearts, no matter how hard we try.
Even with her ears now all scar tissue and with an active infection, this beauty is such a sweetheart, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who isn't head over heels for her. Around 7 years old, she is being treated and feels much better now, loves people, knows her basic commands, walks well on a leash, and gets along with other large dogs.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
