Rest in Peace
Mr Nikke had it rather rough before a good Samaritan found him dumped and sitting on the side of a road. When Nikke first came to Coastal, he had large patches of missing hair on his body, this is from flea/food allergies. He has been eating strictly a grain-free diet and this has made a world of difference as the hair has been slowly coming back.
Nikke stayed in a home with another wonderful Samaritan prior to Coastal, yet, he was a tad bit too interested in chasing the cats. While in this home, he began learning manners and general obedience training. Nikke can be very protective of the people he bonds with and while Nikke can be a bit dominant with other dogs, he corrects easily to leadership. Nikke will make a great partner for someone in need of a friend!
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
