Hope has been adopted! 01-05-2015
Hope had been a stray near a school playground for approximately two months. She was known to sit near the slide while kids played around her. She was captured on September 24th by some very kind ladies that answered the call for help to keep her safe before AC arrived. She was found hiding under a children's slide trying to stay out of the heat. We can only guess that she was bred several times and then abandoned. She is now spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.
Hope is around 2 years old, approximately 55 pounds and very sweet and gentle. She appears to have been trained, because she follows commands and makes eye contact when instructed. She takes treats gently from your fingers. She is very happy to receive love and affection. She enjoys being petted and having doggie friends at her foster home, where she is indoors, safe and has four doggie friends (all small dogs) to play with.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
