Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Tess has been adopted! 08-19-2014

Female German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs.

Tess (formerly "Zena") is turning out to be an awesome little girl! Very sweet and lovable. She has a great appetite and loves wandering around the ranch (at her foster home) taking in all the marvelous smells that are left by the bunnies and coyotes. She rides great in the car and enjoys her outings with foster mom and her pack. Tess does well with the other dogs and doesn't let them intimidate her at all any more. Her foster mom says "she is a total snuggle bug and loves to sleep on the bed with me and old Angus!"

She is completely housebroken. If she was big enough ( she's only 39 lbs.) she would probably be quite the "counter surfer"! Tess has also visited with children and was very good with them. Curious about them but that was it. She would be a wonderful companion for somebody who wants a good dog to travel with and be a best friend. Tess is probably about 3 years old but has a lovely "grown up attitude" and not into being destructive or a chewer. She is great on the leash a happily walks with you every where.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
