Rommel has been adopted! 08-02-2014
Rommel is a slim athlete with a great personality. At his first event, he got along with everyone he met - both 2 & 4 legged. Rommel is very responsive and eager to please. At just about 18 months, he's got great potential to be a wonderful family member. He is fine with other dogs his own size, but we have found that small dogs and cats are not his favorites- well, they may be favorite chew toys, but we're sure the little guys won't appreciate that! Rommel can easily jump a 6' fence and prefers to be a companion dog. He's still a puppy, into chewing, counter surfing, the occasional accident, but is fully crate trained. Overall, he is a great boy who just needs some strong leadership. He will make someone a very good companion. Rommel has been going through obedience training on a weekly basis.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
