Remembering Apollo
Rest in Peace

Male German Shepherd Dog /Labrador Retriever mix about 6-9 years old. Gets along with other dogs. Not for homes with kids. Not cat friendly.

Yes, he's a senior. He's a mix and his ears don't stand up. His muzzle is white and his teeth aren't. His leg was broken- before his rescue- and the bones healed incorrectly while he was living on the streets, which makes his stride a little funky. His name is Apollo and he's the most amazing, loving, affectionate boy you haven't yet adopted!

He's, hands down, the sweetest dog on the planet. He's a super happy boy who adores people and walks. He's soaking up every minute of life and making the most of it. He gets a kick out of toys. He gets to pick out different toys, every day, from the bin. Sometimes it takes him 5 seconds to decide and sometimes it takes 5 minutes. Picking a toy is serious business. His new favorite has been a plastic set of McDonald's fries. He's not a health nut. He is beautiful, inside and out, and would make you the happiest person alive if you adopted him.

Apollo is a spunky, lovable, sweet, older guy. He loves getting attention from his people and will lay by your side if you're doling out the affection. Apollo is dominant and gets along best with submissive female dogs. He loves his walks and going for a romp around the backyard, playing with his toys and rolling around on the grass. He bonds quickly with his handler, is potty trained, good in the house, loves a car ride and would be the happiest dog on the planet if you made him part of your family.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
