Remembering Joy
Rest in Peace

Female about old.

Joy is 100% sweetheart! A dignified and mature gal, at about eight years old, but don't let that fool you. Though she's shy at first, this sweetheart has personality and loves to give gentle kisses. She's a lovely girl who enjoys the simple pleasures in life -- a treat, a warm bed and rolling in the grass.

Joy was turned into a shelter after giving her all to her family for years. It is clear that they didn't return the favor, as this poor girl had ear infections that have been left untreated. She is currently getting Joy medical care she needs for her ears. Joy is eager to join a forever home where she can be treated like a member of the family as she deserves. Joy may not be the best choice for a home with small children only because she prefers a calmer environment. She does great with others of all sizes. She also doesn't like being alone and would need a person or family willing to work with her on her separation anxiety. If you work from home or looking for a companion to a younger dog, Joy would a fine choice to show 'em the ropes. Dogs don't come any more sweet or gentle than Joy!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
