Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Cyrano has been adopted! 04-06-2013

Male German Shepherd Dog /Retriever mix about 2-3 months old. Good with kids. OK with cats. Gets along with other dogs.

Presenting Chatzi's "Cadets", Coastal's newest litter available for adoption. Their mom, Chatzi was very pregnant when rescued from a high kill shelter. It seemed like she knew she was safe because she whelped her 9 puppies less than 24 hours after arriving in the rescue. On 2/07/13, Chatzi welcomed 4 boys and 5 girls to the world. These lucky pups have grown up in one of our foster homes. Since the pups are all black and tan and very "Shepherd" looking, we think their dad is probably a Shepherd mix.

The "Cadets" spend their days learning about life and having a good time. They enjoy playing with their toys and love a good chase. Wresting is a favorite past time as well as catching a nap on a dog bed outside. Having all these skills down, the Cadets are eagerly awaiting their new assignments as family dogs. They have learned great doggie skills from their mom and the dogs in their foster home and are ready to show off what they know. The Cadets will be ready for their new families the first weekend in April and we are currently accepting applications for them.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
