Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Jodie has been adopted! 01-05-2014

Female German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Gets along with other dogs. Not for homes with kids. Not cat friendly.

Jodie dreams of having a family to call her own. She is a stunning coated shepherd- one of the largest females currently with our rescue- whose looks will draw tons of attention from on lookers. Jodie was never properly socialized as a pup, but she has been integrated into playgroups at the kennel and is doing great! With a proper introduction, she can spend time with other dogs. Jodie is looking for a family who understands large breed dogs and can keep her mentally and physically occupied as she is still a youngster and full of energy!

Whip smart and crate trained, we've learned that Jodie would rather spend her time with adults. While she is sweet with small kids, she gets too comfortable and starts to try to dominate them. We believe she can be around small children (parties, etc) but not on a day to day basis as she is dominant. Boy is she smart, with the beauty to boot!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
