Jack has been adopted! 01-31-2012
While Jack is very affectionate, he is not clingy or needy. He is allowed on certain furniture and knows what is ok and what is off limits. He is used to solid daily exercise and wears a backpack for his daily hikes and walks. While Jack is not overly energetic, he is always up for an adventure with his backpack! Jack is wonderful with vet visits, does really well with people outside of his house. Jack will do well with more socialization. He can be leery of first meetings with men he doesn't know but once he gets to know them, he is very accepting. Jack is very food motivated and will do almost anything for a treat. Jack doesn't go to dog parks as he can be intimidated by strong willed dogs. Otherwise he gets along with larger dogs who are easy going. He would benefit from more socialization in group walks. He is housebroken, great on a leash, great with commands, medium energy, would love an active person or family to go for big hikes or daily runs.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
