Indy has been adopted! 12-22-2012
A Shepherd/Lab mix, Indy is still under a year old. Hard to believe such a young, sweet boy had only moments left to live before a miracle occurred where we could intervene. Indy came to us with a severe case of Demodex, but his coat has filled in and he's quickly turned into a gorgeous guy considering the shape he was in when first rescued. Indy's ideal home would be one with older kids since he might be a bit too much young kids. If you have a playful dog who needs a buddy, Indy is your guy. He absolutely adores the company of other dogs. While Indy doesn't have much in the way of obedience training, he's food motivated and eager to learn. He takes treats gently and already knows sit, shake and down. He would benefit from strong leadership and basic obedience to solidify what he is learning in his foster home. An active boy, Indy would love to go running or on long hikes with you! He is a sweet, affectionate, playful guy who is looking for guidance and love. Whatever you can give to Indy, he will give back to you completely.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
