Mr. Bean has been adopted! 01-01-2005
This cutie tugged at our heart strings. We received an email from a caring shelter worker saying Mr. Bean had run out of time at a local shelter. When we looked at his picture we could not say no. Mr. Bean is a BIG boy, with a great black and tan coat. The shelter staff believes that he is an older gentlemen--probably around 7 or 8 years old with plenty of life to live!
Mr. Bean is an all around nice guy - he loves everyone - people and dogs - we even suspect that he gets along with kitties. He lives in kennel free boarding and never causes a stitch of trouble. Bean can stand to lose a few pounds - he probably tips the scales at over 100 lbs and should be around 90 lbs. He has a bit of arthritis in his front leg but his hind end moves quite well.
Mr. Bean is typical of the dogs that are overlooked in the shelters because they aren't puppies. He has years of love left to give, he doesn't eat shoes or sprinkler systems and he has an air of dignity that we couldn't pass by. Please consider all the rewards involved in adopting amature dog!!!!
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
