Peach has been adopted! 01-01-2005

Female about 0 old.

Peach is one of Sydney's puppies. Sydney was rescued from a high kill animal shelter on her very last day. Upon arrival at our vet's office, we discovered that Sydney was pregnant and pretty far along at that. We made the decision to have Sydney continue her pregnancy, although the last thing that we promote is adding more litters of pups to the world! Sydney struggled through her pregnancy with an awful case of pneumonia and got daily care from our dedicated veterinarians. Sydney gave birth on April 30th, in the car on her way to a new foster home. We have no idea who the father was, and there may well have been more than one! The pups all have distinctive looks and all will be large kids when full grown! Sydney was very lucky to be adopted on her first weekend out at our adoption event! She is doing very well in her new home and is hoping that her pups all find amazing homes!!!

Peach has had one of the most interesting introductions to this world. Her mom was being transported to her foster home, when a stop at a McDonalds turned out to be more than what the driver was expecting! Upon checking on the mom, there was a new addition to the crate. Peach was the first born! Being on her own for 4 hours with her mom before her next sibling arrived, Peach has been labeled Ms. Indpendent! She loves to sleep on her own, sit in the shade on her own and find trouble on her own. Interaction with the other pups is reserved to moments of the odd tail pulling and ear biting. Peach can sit at your feet and look up at you with a look that tells you she knows very well she's the most gorgeous puppy in the litter. When she is played out, she finds a nice patch of shade by herself for some much needed rest.

She walks like she is on air, her hair moves like silk in the wind and her look can turn your frown to a smile. She is our Peach.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
