Shane has been adopted! 01-01-2005
Shane is one of Sydney's puppies. Sydney was rescued from a high kill animal shelter on her very last day. Upon arrival at our vet's office, we discovered that Sydney was pregnant and pretty far along at that. We made the decision to have Sydney continue her pregnancy, although the last thing that we promote is adding more litters of pups to the world! Sydney struggled through her pregnancy with an awful case of pneumonia and got daily care from our dedicated veterinarians. Sydney gave birth on April 30th, in the car on her way to a new foster home. We have no idea who the father was, and there may well have been more than one! The pups all have distinctive looks and all will be large kids when full grown! Sydney was very lucky to be adopted on her first weekend out at our adoption event! She is doing very well in her new home and is hoping that her pups all find amazing homes!!!
Sweet, Playful and Reserved, Shane loves to play and then snuggle up in your lap. She is extremely loving and gives the cutest puppy kisses. Shane has awesome shepherd markings and is going to be a large girl. You can usually find her with both front feet in the food or water bowl; she may be a pup that will enjoy water! Shane is drawn to other dogs (even BIG German Shepherd Dogs) and is eager to play with the big kids!
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
