Champ has been adopted! 04-01-2012
Champ previously lived a life like many of our rescues do - an outdoor dog. The fly strike on his ears are more than enough proof of a lonely life. Champ is very sweet to all he meets though small animals are probably not a smart choice for his forever home. Champ deserves to live a wonderful life inside a home as a family member not an outside ornament. Update 3/12/12 from Champ's trainer: He is coming along nicely and is learning his down placements, so he will be good inside during the evenings. He walks nicely on a leash. He is enjoying his bicycle rides and playtime in adventure land. He is a favorite at the kennel as he is sweet and loving with all people. Champ is a beautiful boy with a great foundation.
Champ is currently at K-9 Adventures in Covina and is excelling at obedience training with his trainers, Dave and Paula Guild.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
