Trixie has been adopted! 07-21-2012

Female about 0 old.

Trixie was rescued from the shelter with her 8 puppies when their time ran out. Apparently she was dumped in the shelter with her 2 week old puppies. Not the safest place for a young mother to be. We couldn't stand to see this young family die in the shelter so we moved puppies around and made room for Trixie and her babies. Once pulled from the shelter it was obvious the pups needed more care than poor Trixie could give and she was in need of a break herself, so she could have a family take care of her. Her puppies are currently in a foster home preparing for adoption in a few weeks.

Trixie is currently working diligently to regain her girlish figure and should be ready to reclaim her modeling career quickly. This loving little girl has a sweet disposition with a nurturing way about her. Although Trixie is a very happy girl, she often has a devil-may-care look about her...almost sultry. Shes sort of a mix between the Road Runner cartoon character and Marilyn Monroe. Trixie would be perfect for a home with older (7yrs. +) children and or an active family. Trixie is well behaved in or out of the home; shes housebroken and learning manners in her foster home; however she will continue to require some strong leadership as she grows up into the perfect adult dog.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
