Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Theo has been adopted! 08-08-2012

Female about old.

Look at Theo now! Dumped at a shelter with untreated fleas which caused him to literally scratch himself to near death, but thanks to Coastals faithful supporters, he now enjoys the good life in a foster home with his foster brother, cat and chicken!!! Theo is a young energetic skinny boy about 18 months who will do anything for a ball (no soccer games in front of this sweet boy). Theo is sweet, gentle and just a doll!

Theo needs some basic obedience and someone with patience to help him reach his clearly amazing potential. His ball drive is enough to motivate him to do any training you may want. He could be a champion in his class with his amazing intelligence, gentle nature and willingness to please. Theo gets along with all dogs big or small but doesnt necessarily need another dog if he has toys and plenty of human exercise (jogging, hiking, fetch).

Theo loves the water, off leash hikes and playing fetch. Get out a leash for a walk and Theo does the Happy Dance! Theo loves people and really enjoys kids but small kids would require an experienced owner to train him as he is still a giant pup who innocently could steal childrens toys or plow into them chasing one of his own. He is wonderfully good natured. For as much neglect as Theo has experienced in his short life, he has NO resentment toward any human - just joyous and loving. Theo is a flexible and adaptable dog. His ideal home would enjoy activity in the outdoors or playing regularly with him, be committed to some basic training and initial patients, but be rewarded with one of the most loving gentle German Shepherds you can imagine. Your friends will be envious!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
