Major has been adopted! 09-15-2012
We were dumbfounded when we pulled Major out of his kennel run to get his photos and get to know him a little better. Not only does this young man sit, he shakes, he lays down, he stays AND he rolls over! Who would have ever let him go? He clearly has had some effort put into his training and behavior - this is a WONDERFUL dog. Our volunteers ached to take him home to foster but with overloaded homes, they just couldn't. So we took the best pictures we could so that we can get this rock star into a home as soon as possible. Major walks nicely on a leash, we haven't seen him have issues with other dogs and given his level of training (plus the condition of his coat), we have to think he is housebroken and was an indoor dog.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
