Sonnie has been adopted! 11-12-2012
Calm, cool and collected. That's Sonnie! But don't let her quiet demeanor fool you, this is a young-at-heart girl who loves people, her canine friends and is good with cats, too! About 8 yrs old, Sonnie takes in play time, lunch time and nap time with equal enthusiasm. Sonnie has done wonderfully in her foster home -- she isn't super needy and does just fine left home alone unsupervised (no crate needed). She knows all her basic commands; she even knows how to shake 'a paw!
Sonnie would be a great addition to a home with or without other dogs (though she does enjoy the company of other animals). Although she walks well on a leash, Sonnie isn't a big fan of excessive workouts, preferring to spend her free time with her family lounging around. She is experienced, so not much is likely to shock her. If given the opportunity to make you happy, Sonnie will always go out of her way to oblige. She's an easy-going girl looking for a good home to create some great times.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
