Mama Mia has been adopted! 10-12-2012
Looking for a smaller female? Mama Mia aka Mama, is a great size for those looking for an apartment/condo sized dog. Mama enjoys playing with her many foster siblings or curling up with her humans. She knows a few basic commands and would love her new family to take her to obedience training. She is also learning that she should go potty outside like her friends do. We are making progress! Mama Mia has great manners in the car. When she was staying at the kennel, she was so social she participated in playtime every day with the other dogs. She loves attention from people, but is not pushy. We have tested her and she is safe to live with cats! Mama is on the mellow side and would make a great companion for just about anyone. Mama Mia is a total love-bug and absolutely know that she will make on lucky family VERY happy! Update 9/25/12 from Mama Mia's foster mom
Mama Mia is doing really well in her foster home. She is totally housebroken, with no accidents. Mama Mia also is a great companion to the other dogs in the family, playing and running in the yard with 2 greyhounds! But she is also a calm and mellow girl, who sleeps on dog beds for most of the day. She is not high energy, but does love to play when the opportunity strikes. As far as the cats are concerned, she is curious and watches them, but she is totally safe to live with cats. Mama Mia's energy level is low to medium, meaning that she is quiet and well-mannered in the house, and when she goes outside, she can be ready for walks or playtime.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
