Oscar has been adopted! 07-26-2005

Female about 0 old.

This big, strapping boy is Oscar, a classic 4 year old male that was turned over to us along with Olive. Oscar's previous owner didn't make arrangements to take these two along when moving, so we agreed to take them in.

Olive and Oscar are about 4 years old and absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Both are extremely friendly and, with a little refresher course, will walk very nicely on the leash. They are wonderful passengers in the car, relaxing immediatley and taking in the scenery.

Oscar is a HAM! He loves attention and preens like a peacock. On his first car ride in the rescue, he stretttcccchhheddd to the end of his tether so that he could get scratches between his ears - and he is happy to kiss whatever human is closest. Oscar likes to talk and we sure wish we could translate.

He has lived most of his life with Olive - ideally, we would like to place them together, but if not, Oscar can go to a home with another dog. He has lived with kids and cats, getting along with everyone he meets!

If you are interested in meeting Oscar, please contact Beth via email at eacalder@yahoo.com. Don't forget to fill out our online application.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
