Will has been adopted! 09-05-2005

Female about 0 old.

This little pipsqueak is Will! He came to us from a high kill shelter - his sisters were adopted but he was left behind. So lucky us - we get to find the perfect home for him! Will is blond with black tipped fur - he is between 2-3 mos old, just a baby.

Will is a mix of shepherd and, well, some cute mystery dog! We will never know exactly, but we are here to help him get a solid start to his young life. If you are interested in Will, make sure that you are prepared to housebreak him, teach him good habits (he likes to chew on everything and pull on rugs!) and commit to 12-15 years of care. If that doesn't sound enticing, please do not adopt a puppy. They are a ton of work and a very big commitment.

Update from Will's foster family:

Will has started to grasp the concept of pottying outside - he will have to learn the ropes in his new home but he makes very few errors at present. Will is going to be a good watch dog - he loves to alert his family to strangers and happenings. His leash skills improve every day. He loves other dogs and we believe that the best home for Will is going to be with another doggy companion. He does have a tough time with a crate - it just isn't his bag.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
