Gus has been adopted! 01-01-2005

Female about 0 old.

This distinguished fellow is a class act. Gus' owner passed away and no provisions were made for his care. After hearing that he was to be taken to the vet's to be euthanized, we had to step in to help this faithful boy.

Tall and elegant, Gus is 10 years young. In Gus' world, age is just a number because he is as spry as a much younger dog - he can jump in and out of a truck with ease - this proud dog shuns any assistance. He walks beautifully on a leash, is bi-lingual (he knows German and English) and enjoys other dogs' company - especially the ladies!

While Gus may have a bit more grey in his muzzle, he has lots of love and lots more years to give to his people. It just breaks our hearts when dogs like Gus are tossed like afterthoughts after years of loving companionship.

Gus has lived with cats, dogs, grew up with kids and is just an all around good citizen. As an added bonus, Gus likes to talk to whoever will listen - especially if you have a treat.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
