Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Oakly has been adopted! 01-01-2005

Female about 0 old.

Oakley is a 15 month old pup! This gorgeous girl has a beautiful plush coat. When our shelter scout came to get her, she was shaking in her boots and very frightened. How she ended up as a stray that wasn't reclaimed is absolutely beyond us. The minute that she got out in the grass and open air, she became a different dog! Wagging her tail, kissing her rescuer, trotting proudly in the grass!

She will come around very quickly from her scary shelter ordeal. Currently getting a bath, up to date on vaccines and spayed, we will place her in a foster home so that we can get to know her better.

Most likely, Oakley doesn't know many, if any, commands. She is a pup and will require patience, training and consistency. If you are interested in adopting a pup, please be prepared for chewing, digging and general mischief. Oakley is a 12-14 year commitment. She will be a wonderful companion with a family that is willing to put time and effort into helping her grow into a good canine citizen!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
