Peyton has been adopted! 12-27-2005

Female about 0 old.

This pretty girl lived the first two years of her life confined to a wooden box. Confiscated along with her brother Cash, Peyton is now safe and ready to find her forever home.

About two years old, Peyton's coat and ears clearly reflect the neglect that she suffered in her previous life. Eventually, hair will grow back over the top of her ears and, with good nutrition, her coat will shine. Peyton is clearly ready to learn - she came to her first adoption event like a bull in a china shop. One of our volunteers took her for a long walk and schooled Peyton on leash work, sitting and general obedience. After a short while, Peyton came back a new dog - calm and focused on her handler.

She will make a wonderful addition to any family - she gets along fine with other dogs and clearly enjoys human interaction.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
