Jackie has been adopted! 02-26-2006
The vet hospital offered to take care of Jackie's surgeries if we would take her under our wing afterward. Well, of course we have. Jackie is very sweet, quiet and confused at the moment. She lost her home, she was badly hurt, and now she's learning that she'll be well taken care of. All her tumors have been removed and while they were found to be a low-grade malignancy, our vet is confident that they removed all of the tumor completely. This disease is extremely slow growing and not invasive - dogs who have had these kinds of tumors removed typically live a long full life. So we call Jackie our survivor!
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
She is about four years old and will be quite pretty with some loving care. She has been around kids and does well with other dogs. Jackie is a very pretty, sweet and loving girl who deserves a home where she'll be cherished.
