Bodacious has been adopted! 01-01-2006
Meet the stunning Bodacious. Bo is a four month coated, bi-color shepherd. She is a very large puppy - we suspect she will top the scales at over 100 pounds once reaching adulthood. Once comfortable in her environment, Bo is a very happy puppy. She gets along well with other dogs. Although we do not know Bo's history, it is apparent she is not immediately trusting of people she meets. Once she bonds with her people, she is a devoted shepherd with a lifelong dedication. Bo needs a family who is patient and experienced with strong willed shepherds. She exhibits alpha tendencies and needs to have clear leadership - so she will be free to enjoy her place in the pack. Because of Bo's potential extra large size, we recommend that she be fed a diet rich in protein and glucosomine. She is currently on a raw food diet which we recommend maintaining. Minimally, Bo must be provided with a quality diet and the supplements a large dog needs for strong joints to grow to be a healthy adult.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
