Blue has been adopted! 07-29-2006

Female about 0 old.

Meet Blue, a beautiful and magnificent boy. Blue is about 15 months old and full grown will be about 80 pounds. Blue was taken home by his previous family at 8 weeks old, they thought he was cute and cuddly but by the time he reached 6 months old, they got tired of him and threw him in the back yard. From that day on Blue has been living in his kennel alone. From time to time they might remember to feed him or give him water. He had no shade and they lived out in the dessert. We don’t know how this poor boy was able to stand 120 degree heat and survive. Remarkabley, Blue has a wonderful temperament and gets along very well with people and other dogs. And he's ready to start living the good life in a loving home where he is part of the family. Its quite understandable that Blue is a little shy at first, but he warms up quite quickly especially when you have a treat in your hand!

We are thankful that his previous family had the common sense to turn him in to Coastal German Shepherd Rescue as opposed to leaving him out in their back yard for the next few years to endure their neglect and the abuse of extreme weather conditions.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
