Sable has been adopted! 01-01-2006

Sable is a 7 month old young lady with her AKC papers. Her family didn't feel that they had time for her along with their small children and turned to us for help.

Sable has been an outdoor puppy since she was purchased from a breeder - we are already introducing her to house living, along with a little bit of training and socialization. She is a bit timid but warms up quickly - she is in a multiple dog foster home and tolerates all the sniffing quite well, she is even indicating that she'd like to learn to play. Sable is very bright and eager to learn and she is quite affectionate with people.

Sable is most definitely a puppy with high energy and spirit and she will do best with older children as her enthusiasm could knock down little ones. Remember that puppies are a 12-15 year commitment - Sable needs the stability of a forever home to help build her confidence and blossom into a regal shepherd!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
