Tobey has been adopted! 08-05-2006

Female about 0 old.

Tobey is a 6 month old soulful boy. This poor boy was brought in by Animal Control with bite wounds, 2 in particular that were quite severe, one in the neck and the other on his flank, little Tobey was found on the streets bleeding. It's hard to tell where the wounds came from, clearly he was beaten up pretty badly and fighting back was not an option for him as he still has tiny baby teeth.

Tobey is now in a foster home fully recovered. He acts like a very mature dog for his age. When he is hungry he lays by the fridge, when he gets thirsty he stand by the water spout, when he's done playing he will stand by the door. He is a very well mannered dog who loves to play with other dogs, and has discovered what squeaky toys are all about. One favorite thing that he likes to do above all else (well, except for food of course) is to chase butterflies.

Tobey will do well in an adult home with other dogs to play with. He is also housebroken.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
