George has been adopted! 02-03-2007

Female about 0 old.

George has had a rough few months. He was picked up by the shelter after having been hit by a car - it was determined that he had been adopted recently. The family didn't want him because he was going after their rabbit. We know that George gets along fine with medium to large dogs, but we are pretty sure he isn't cat friendly.

He has also lost 10 lbs in the last 6 weeks - he has a healthy appetite and great energy so we are attributing it to stress. In his foster home, he coexists peacefully with several other dogs and likes to sleep in his foster mom's bedroom on a dog bed. George should weigh between 90 and 95 lbs when he is filled out and he is quite tall.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
