Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Tina has been adopted! 02-07-2007

Female about 0 old.

Tina is a gorgeous California blonde!!! With her pretty coat shadings, she is not your everyday classic black & tan German Shepherd. But believe us, she is 100% shepherd!!!!

Tina was relinquished to us along with Sandy. It isn't necessary that these lovely girls be placed together but if you are looking for a pairof purebred shepherds, these two can't be beat.

Tina has always been an outdoor dog - she has lived with kids and small dogs. She has recently been placed in a foster home where it is mandatory that the dogs be indoors and have indoor manners....she is
picking up the routine quickly. She is reliably crate trained and will sleep through the night quietly. It took a couple of days for her to figure out that poofy dog beds were for her, but once she did, well, she
is trying out each and every one! She loves to plop in front of the fireplace for a snooze.

Tina knows several commands and gets along well with other dogs. The one personality that she probably won't do well with is a really dominant female alpha. She is living with 3 females, a submissive male and a 9 week old pup. She more than tolerates the pup crawling all over her head and back.

Ideally, Tina will go to a home that is eager to start obedience with her. While she is proficient in her commands, she (and her family) will only benefit from further structured obedience work.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
