Doyle has been adopted! 03-17-2007

Female about 0 old.

Doyle has a heartbreaking story to tell. His family was being evicted from their home and apparently made no arrangements for Doyle. Doyle's neighbor watched as his "owner" loaded him up in his truck and drove away---only to dump him out a few blocks away. The neighbor watched as Doyle frantically ran back to the place that he called home. She watched as the owner loaded Doyle up---not once, not twice---but three times. Every time Doyle found his way back "home"---much to the disappointment of his owner. This caring neighbor finally went over to the house to inquire. She was told that they wanted the dog to just "get lost". The neighbor offered to take Doyle and find him a loving home. While in Doyle's backyard, she also noticed that for some time Doyle has been living off of Fruit Loops. Unbelievable! Doyle's kind neighbor called Coastal for help and we took Doyle out of this terrible situation. We know we can do MUCH better for him!

Three of our volunteers met Doyle yesterday and can not believe what a gorgeous boy he is! He has been through a lot and is (understandably) scared. Doyle is roughly 4 years old and jet black! Doyle will need a loving family to reassure him that he will not be dumped ever again!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
