Harry has been adopted! 04-23-2007

Female about 0 old.

Harry is 90 pounds full love and kisses! He is between 2-3 years old, adores other dogs and would be a phenomenal “head” of a welcoming committee for dogs. The most favorite thing he loves to do is give kisses to dogs, big, small, male or female, he doesn’t care. His charge in life is to keep dogs happy; play also comes at the top of his list, interactive play that is . . . either with another dog or a 2 legged companion. I’m not sure if given a choice if he can choose between being the “Head” of the committee or playing with others. Toys aren’t part of his priority list, I do believe he thinks they’re boring.

Harry was found as a stray. He was in the shelter for a good week before one of our volunteers found him. The first thing he did was beg with all the charm he could muster to get him out of the kennel, and soon after that, the playing began. I took him to the Chicken Coup and he was interested, not to eat, more on curious what these birds were doing, and then off he went to play “tag” with me. He listens well and is eager to please.

Harry will do well in an adult home with another a playful dog. He is a stunning boy with fantastic manners, wonderful with small dogs, people and is housebroken! No cats.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
