Polly has been adopted! 04-29-2007

Female about 0 old.

We know a little more about Polly than the usual shelter dog...that is because the shelter contacted us when her owner was trying to dump her hoping that we could take her as an owner turn in. We readily agreed but the "owner" couldn't take the effort to try to meet one of our volunteers the next day so she just left her at the shelter to an unknown fate. The reason? She dug in a yard where she spent most of her time alone.

As you can see, Polly is absolutely stunning. She was a little ratty when we rescued her but just one bath has turned her into a beauty queen. We do know that Polly lived with cats, other dogs and little kids. She is about 4 years old and was originally placed from the shelter so through no fault of her own, she has been bounced around in her short life.

We are committed to finding Polly's forever home - third time is a charm, right? Polly has a charming personality and adores people - she's a regular Miss Congeniality!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
