Mariah has been adopted! 01-07-2007

Female about 0 old.

Scared with her tail tucked between her legs, Mariah's first adoption event was a scary thing for her. However, as time went on, she got a little braver and within a couple of hours, her tail was held proudly and she was enjoying the attention! We are just getting to know her but she is about 15 mos old, on the petite side and has very pretty eyes!

Mariah is a sweetheart with a lot of love to give. She's timid at first, but once she decides to love you, it's kisses all day long. She has a great demeanor with people and other dogs. Very alert around the house, she has the 1-bark warning down pat! No one gets close to my place without me knowing anymore. She hasn't had obedience training, but is a quick learner and has figured out how to sit for treats.

This little go-getter has gotten more comfortable in her surroundings with each passing day. She's still nervous around people, but all it seems to take is a walk or feeding, and she's your new best friend. She won't let strangers pet her, but my friends are able to. She has learned from my Shepherd how to play, and she loves it! She plays very well with other dogs, even small dogs.

Mariah's a wonderfully-tempered dog who just wants a place to call home.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
