Steiner has been adopted! 08-24-2008

Female about 0 old.

When we first met Steiner, we saw a sunburned nose, a muddied coat and all kinds of hair clumping out of his body. What a difference a spa treatment makes! Steiner swaggered out of his first bath and plopped himself right down in the middle of his first adoption event to oohs & aahs. Steiner is a big substantial fellow - we haven't weighed him yet but we're guessing close to 100 lbs - his foster mom can't dig up a collar big enough for him!

Steiner is currently living w/a whole lot of female dogs and a couple of males who are rather mellow. He is running with the ladies and does try to push his luck with dominance but if one of them pushes back, he cries like a baby. He also takes correction well from the human (also a female) in his pack.

Steiner is housebroken, knows how to sit, will bark if there is a reason (and it is a BIG bark) but also will mellow out with the pack and slumber.

Steiner is about 2 years old

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
