Simon has been adopted! 03-29-2008

Female about 0 old.

Simon was found by a good samaritan on a busy Los Angeles freeway. He was taken to vet before being brought to the county animal shelter. X-rays showed that he had 4 broken toes. Simon sat in a cold cement run at the shelter waiting for someone to take him home and love him. Unfortunately, very few people go to the county shelter looking to adopt a "broken" dog. We were Simon's last chance at happiness. His injury is repairing and he ready to move on to the next chapter of his life---which includes a warm bed, big meals and a family to call his own.

Simon is about 5 years old, although it is difficult to tell as he has severe wear on his teeth from years of chewing on flea ridden skin. He has has a (much needed) bath and feels much better! Simon is friendly with others and doesn't ask for much. He is a big teddy bear, happy to spend his days lounging around.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
