Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Monte has been adopted! 12-17-2008

Female about 0 old.

Monte is super duper mellow - he does well with large/small dogs and has proven to be reliable with kitties. Monte is even housebroken!!!!! He can be a little leery of loud noises but is learning to accept all kinds of disruptions. He is quiet and loving - really, as you can probably tell from his photos, all Monte wants is for someone to pet him and love on him - he is a big fellow and doesn't really know his size - he kind of thinks that he should be a lap dog!!!

Although we have been inundated with medical bills, our kind surgeon offered to perform surgery even though he knew we couldn't pay him immediately - Monte had been in some discomfort and we needed to help him get on the road to recovery - there were bone fragments in his hip socket which required removal. Monty is now on the road to recovery - he is doing daily therapy with slow walks that force him to use his leg and will be going through some physical therapy once we raise funds towards a few sessions.

Please consider donating to Monte's surgery and subsequent rehabilitation - any amount is greatly appreciated!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
