Feron has been adopted! 04-29-2008

Female about 0 old.

Feron is a sweet young boy who found himself in a high kill Animal Shelter with a broken pelvis. He is such a good boy that shelter workers wasted no time in finding help for this little guy. They contacted us to see if we could help. Because Feron will require expensive surgery we made a plea to our friends and supporters to raise the money so we could commit to helping this youngster!

We are thrilled to report that our loyal supporters and adopters have come through to help us save Feron! We were able to spring the little guy from the shelter over the weekend, we have his xrays and we will schedule an evaluation with our orthopedic surgeon as soon as possible to determine how to get his leg repaired and walking again!

Feron is the sweetest thing - he can't be more than 7 or 8 mos old. He is absolutely in love with other dogs and tells us that he cannot wait to start playing and romping! Feron is a beautiful butterscotch boy with a black head and interesting forehead markings that just make him look really, really smart!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
