Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Ebony has been adopted! 04-28-2008

Female about 0 old.

We rescued Ebony from a far flung shelter in Central California - she was licensed with a family but calls from the shelter were futile and she was facing an end to her life. When we saw her photo, we couldn't bear to see her life end. Ebony was transported through several committed rescuers and is now safe and sound. She has had a much needed bath and now her jet black coat shines!

Ebony is a little confused by her plight but, being a German Shepherd, she is figuring out very quickly that she is safe and secure. She is carefully watching her foster brothers and sisters, following their lead. Its almost like they are telling her "you're cool, just roll with us and everything will be fine". Ebony LOVES to catch anything you throw at her - she is exceptionally coordinated.

Ebony is overweight and out of shape (like lots of humans!!!!) - she is starting an exercise program in her foster home which will need to be continued in her forever home. Ebony LOVES to eat!!!! So we are going to offset that with a vigorous walking regimen!

Ebony is housebroken and good with cats! She is quiet, but happy and will make a great addition to her new family.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
